Derrell helped carry Amherst to a 17-7 halftime lead over Williams this past Saturday with 4 receptions for 117 yards, including a 55-yard completion that paved the way for a Jeffs touchdown. Although his stellar career came up five receptions and 80 yards short of school records, Wright and his senior teammates compiled an impressive 24-8 record over their four years on the football field.

Diana spurred the cross country team to its second consecutive Nationals qualification by placing 22nd in the district meet this past weekend. The race put an exclamation point on what has already been a strong season for Rancourt. Diana, who helped lead the Jeffs to their first ever National meet last year, hopes to put Amherst into the top ten this year when the team lines up on Saturday in Indiana.
