Bub's Player of the Week: Pat McGee '02
By Sports Staff
I know football is over, the Jeff season is done. But before I close the book on this star-spangled year, let's have just a little more fun. The All-NESCAC selections came, and the Jeffs were impressive; the keyword of the season? Defense, which was nationally-ranked oppressive. And the man that led the Amherst wall, our own number nine. Quad-captain Pat McGee, and now it's his day to shine. First off, he made the first team; a repeat of last year. But more importantly, he has another reason to cheer. He holds that coveted title now, that prefix so dear; our own Pat McGee was named NESCAC Defensive Player of the Year. And so now we can close the book, now that we have that down. McGee's defensive prowess made the other team's O-lines look like clowns. What a way to cap his senior year season; and so I'm giving him this Bub's for a really good reason. So head on down to Bub's, Pat, and when you get there, ask for me. I'll cover the check for you, because this time? You eat free.
