Bub's Player of the Week: Rebecca Stein
By Sports Staff
Interterm's over, and second semester classes have begun. But, let's take a minute to review this break's fun. The sports teams were playing, wore the purple and white. And January saw some incredible fights. But one Jeff stood out over the rest; Rebecca Stein's swimming was put to the test. And not only did she pass, in my eyes she got summa; she swam hard and sent her competition to its doom-a. First up, Southern Conn.; she blew by the Owls. By the end of her freestyle heats, they had thrown in their towels. After that, the Amherst squad took the long bus-ride west. They headed out to Williamstown, for a Jeff-Eph contest. Rebecca did her part out there, won the 100 free. And even though the Cows won, she sounds all right to me. Finally, the Jeffs faced their latest foe: the Hamilton Continentals, this time to New York they had to go. Once again our Bub's girl got into the pool, won her two freestyle hits and made the Conts all look like fools. The swimmers stand at 7-1, well below par, they've dominated so far. So head on down to Bub's Rebecca, and don't forget your Speedo, because you're player of the week, and winning is your credo.
