This Bubsworthy space has been Heidi's before. But that's because once she's gone, she'll be Lord Jeff lore. Since her rookie year, she's been minding the net; and when she's between the pipes, a great night is a sure bet. It's funny-in a way, she reminds me of Rieser; he graduated last year, but was a real Jeff crowd-pleaser. Heidi's like that, she'll get it done; and with this theme begins a week of women's hockey fun. Let's start with Trinity, and an Amherst win; Heidi had 32 saves, she put that one in the bin. The next day was tougher, when Wesleyan came; but Heidi was too, and the Jeffs tied the game. Heidi grabbed the USCHO Defensive Player of the Week; and after that, the Jeffs sent UMass up the creek. Against the Minutemen, Amherst did it once more; they won this game, and the score? 10-4. That's some powerful offense, and a tight defense, too. And on Sunday, the Jeffs took the N.E.C. game in an Orr Rink coup. Tonight, the Jeffs are over at Holy Cross; and on Saturday, they'll show the Continentals whose boss.
