The dust is settling, the postseason picture's crystal clear; and Jeff men's hoops fans are starting to cheer. They did it again, made the conference tourney; and let's hope this year's postseason is a long journey. Will it be a pleasant one, will they get to the Big Dance? All I know for sure is that Steve Zieja heightens their chance. All season long, he's been the Jeff lord; and with him on the basketball court, a tight Jeff game is assured. Let's look at this weekend, just as an example. Amherst played twice, and Steve's contributions were more than ample. On Friday, the Jeffs took the Polar Bears. Steve grabbed 11 rebounds, and went on a 16-point tear. The next day, against Colby, the Jeffs came out and won; it was Senior Day, and Zieja brought those three some fun. Proctor, Paul, and P-Tav, we'll all miss them next year; those three on the court really gave us something to cheer. The Jeffs took the day, Steve with 23 tallies; now they have the home court, and a postseason rally. So head on down to Bub's, Steve, and pull up a chair.
