Bub's Player of the Week: Carter Hamill '05
Carter's just a first-year, she still lives in James. But on Friday, in Ohio, another honor she claimed. That's right, I said another; this girl's an old pro. She's already got four under her belt, now that's a decent rookie show. 1,500, 3,000, and the 5,000 too; she's also combined with the 4x800 crew. But this week, the spotlight was all hers; she went to the Big Dance. It was the NCAA Championship, and Carter? Did she have a chance? She had won the 3K at New Englands, just two weeks ago. But this was the 5,000, and even more, this was The Show. But, like I said before, Carter's an old hand; posted 17:11.93, and All-American she canned. That's right, she got the nod, she got the big prize; and, what's more, deja vu was in her eyes. Because even though she's a rookie, that was her second time. She got All-American in cross country, now that's a Bubsworthy rhyme. So to end, let's recap; she's a first-year right? A two-time All-American, yeah, I'd say that's pretty tight. So head on down to Bub's, Carter, and I'll buy you dinner. I'll be happy to treat this week's All-American Bub's space winner.
