The men's baseball team is coming off a busy week of competition in Ft. Myers, Fla. In addition to a week of fun in the sun and hardcore practices, the boys of spring played a number of baseball games. Their 6-5 record includes wins over teams from UMass-Boston, Ohio Wesleyan University and St. Lawrence University. Friday's home matchup features NESCAC foe Wesleyan University. Wesleyan's similar standing at 6-4 should make for a close matchup between the two teams. The sophomore duo of Paul Whiting and Matt Potter has been leading the Amherst offense with their blazing bats and will look to extend their hitting streaks. The Jeffs will be looking for redemption after a 6-1 loss to the University of St. Thomas. On the other side of the ball, co-captain Jeff Leduc '02. Jonah Ansell '03 and Dave Krauser '02 all had strong showings on the mound in sunny Florida. Look for one of the three to lead the Jeffs to victory on Friday.
