The men and women's track teams will square up this Saturday to take on rivals Williams College and Wesleyan University in the infamous Little III competition. It will be a combination of new talent and rooted experience that will hopefully lead the Jeffs to the coveted title. For the women, Carter Hamill '05 and Lee-Jay Henry '05 will look to capture the distance and field events, respectively, while senior tri-captains Emily Lobsenz, Amie Shei and Annie Perez are hoping to dominate their individual events. On the men's side, hurdler Pat Hayes '03 and standout sprinter Janak Chandrasoma '04 will attempt to run fast enough to beat their rivals and qualify for the postseason in the process. Traditionally, this laid-back meet is also a time for Amherst athletes to try out a number of new field and hurdle events.
