Bub's Player of the Week: Alex Casertano
By Alison White, Staff Writer
The men's lacrosse team has quite a few new faces, and among all these freshmen, there's one that's really aces. Alex Casertano is his name, his jersey reads number seven, and if you catch him playing in the game, it's really quite like heaven. This attacker from New York really seems to know the game, for in this past week on the field, his opponents have looked quite lame. Tufts relinquished him six points in all; four goals and two assists, they eventually came to a 13-7 fall. Next up was Bowdoin; Alex scored one goal but was not quite done. Two points came the next day, when Bates was nicely stunned. Casertano drove Amherst to this 8-7 overtime win, much to the Maine Bobcats' chagrin. We here at Bub's could only smile, as Alex had proven his scoring style. Though this guy is brand new here, surely don't miss out on his rookie year. Go catch a game, maybe the Camels on Thursday this week. Just sit by the goal, cheer for Alex, and watch him continue his streak.
