Game of the Week: Women's Tennis vs. Williams College
By Sports Staff
Amherst. Williams. Normally the Lord Jeffs don't need any special motivation to get energized for a matchup with their historic rivals, but this time it's personal. Amherst, a team that has made it to the NCAA Final Four for the past four years, finished only sixth in this year's NESCAC Championships. And the winner of said meet? None other than the Ephs. But Amherst, ranked seventh in the country, isn't phased by the prospect of taking on the number one team in NESCAC. This year the Jeffs boast three second-team All-NESCAC selections: senior co-captain Stephanie Fong and freshmen sensations Rachel Holt and Tristan Hedrick. But they'll have to battle NESCAC Player of the Year Selma Kikic and the rest of her Eph mates. The NESCAC Championships may have already come and gone, but pride is forever.
