Bub's Player of the Week: Brooke Diamond '03
To the fields behind Milliken, I walked the other day, to pass the afternoon watching the women's soccer team play. It was Connecticut College they faced in this bout, and throughout the game I heard the same shout. Confused as to who it could be, I searched to find a play with intensity of such a high degree. I should have known, for it emanated from a player who consistently makes her opponents groan. If you don't know who I'm talking about yet, then merely look towards the net. Yes, folks, Brooke Diamond is her name, and saving goals is her game. When recording shutout number 25, it was clear that she still has the same old drive. We expected as much, Brooke is no stranger to performing in the clutch. Last year she led the Jeffs to the NCAA final game, and this year is still deserving of some major acclaim. Brooke was impenetrable, much to Conn's chagrin. So, Brooke, your shutout was sweet, and soon your team will be at the top of the NESCAC's elite.
