Bubs Player of the Week: Christian Alexander '06
By Alison White, Staff Writer
A freshman athlete at Amherst is usually new to the scene, and to some he might be considered quite green. Still, there's always a few kids who put this notion to rest, an example of this is one's of men's soccer's best. Christian Alexander's his name-of Appleton fame-and he took to the pitch with nary a hitch. Did he play well you ask, was he really up to the task? Thanks and praise are certainly due, that's what I'm here to tell you, for Amherst he scored not one goal, but two! He scored two goals six minutes apart, his kicks were like bullets, like arrows, like darts. The first clanged off the post, and then into the net it did coast. The second was a blast, its speed was definitely fast. Despite the keeper's ready stance, he clearly just never stood a chance. Congratulations Christian, you're looking good in your first year. Bub's is just glad for three more seasons to cheer! Work on that shot and uphold the streak, you'll score two more against Babson next week.
