The men's soccer team is on a four game win Streak, but one player is a real freak. Bubs is especially proud. Among this great bunch he really does stand out from the crowd. You might be surprised to hear, this kid is a first-year! Joe Gannon it is, and he's become Amherst's goal scoring whiz! He got the ball rolling with a hat trick against Springfield, and hasn't stopped since. At the sight of his touch on the ball, most NESCAC teams wince. He scored another two against Conn, Bub's thinks this is one of the best scorers we've ever laid eyes on. However, goals aren't the only aspect of his play, two assists at Colby came along further down the way. Of all these tallies, people have certainly kept track; next Joe was named Player of the Week in the NESCAC. Now on the Amherst team, Gannon reigns scorer supreme. He's got nine goals and six assists, watching him play is just a soccer fan's bliss. This total of 24 puts him at third in the league, no doubt to many a veterans' intrigue. Congrats Joe, Bub's honors you. Just work even harder this week, and on Saturday show Williams what you can do!
