Game of the week: Women's Soccer vs. Williams College
By Ryan Yeung, Managing Sports Editor
After a slow start to the season, the women's soccer team is starting to exhibit the form that won the NESCAC Championship and earned them a trip to the National Championship finals last season. The Jeffs seemed to have found the person to fill the offensive void left by Cathy Poor '02, Adrienne Showler '05. Showler is the team's leading scorer with seven goals on the season, including a hat trick against Wesleyan University on Saturday. The Jeffs are heading into their match with Williams off three wins, including a gritty win against the Middlebury College Panthers on Oct. 5. With 30 minutes remaining in the game, the Jeffs rallied to score two goals to take down the Panthers. They will need that tenacity to beat Williams, who are 9-3 this season.
