Women's cross country second in Little IIIs
The women's cross country team finished second to Williams College at the Little III Championships this past weekend in Williamstown, Mass, with Wesleyan University finishing third. Carter Hamill '05 placed fourth with a time of 18:58 in the individual standings.
The other Jeffs turned in solid performances as well, Erinn White '04 came in 10th with a time of 20:20, while Helen Dole '04 edged out her competition to place 12th with a 20:09 time. Co-captains Hilary Plum '03 and Alison Dimon '03 finished 15th and 20th, respectively. Jenny Horowitz '06 and Margaret Davis '06 rounded up the bunch with a placement of 21st and 25th.
Hamill said the team was excited for the race because it "was small and had tough competition."
"Williams just has such a strong team, and a lot of depth. We were excited to have beaten Wesleyan by such a small margin, as they also have a good team," she added.
The women now prepare for NESCACs at Tufts University on Nov. 2.
