Bubs Player of the Week: Chris Kane
When the men's soccer team took the field last Sunday , they knew Tufts would be here to play. They had lost to the Jumbos early in the year, and for this game, the consequences of the outcome would be much more severe. Round one in the NESCAC, it was time for some Amherst payback. Enter Chris Kane into the game, he's a four-year veteran deserving of much acclaim. Just seven minutes into the play, the Amherst quad-captains connected a series of passes that sent Tufts into disarray. First from Pat Garvey, then to Roger Boulay, Kane blasted a lefty that you just don't see everyday. The game was one-nil-the Jumbos took that bitter pill, and never were they to recover from Kane's display of skill. Later in the game, with a crafty pass, Kane assisted a goal that would lead to Tuft's last gasp. Amherst won the game two-one, Tufts was done and now the playoffs for the Jeffs have only just begun. Nice job Kane, finish your senior year off strong-Bub's knows it's at the top of the NESCAC where you and your team belong.
