Bubs Player of the Week: J.P. Zito '03
For our homecoming game last saturday, when the sky was bright and sunny, there were predictions for an Amherst loss, which Bub's did not find very funny. Everyone touted the Ephs, and all the skills they had. No one wanted to mention Amherst, and it made us all quite mad. When it came time to play the game, everyone had to stop talking. The Jeffs stormed Pratt Field in such a way that everyone was gawking. The play of one man will not be forgotten, his name is J.P. Zito. He had three touchdowns throughout the game, and Bub's thinks this is quite neat-o. In addition to those 21 points he'd score, Zito had more catches, to be precise four. With these seven plays, he totaled 179 yards, those are some numbers that just shattered Williams into shards. That game was extra special for J.P., because it was his last. It's made him one of the better players we've seen, in Amherst present and past. Congratulations Zito, you've ended on a great note; you took the field and dominated, and that was all Bub's wrote.
