Bub's Player of the Week: Adam Harper '04
The winter season is finally here, and now with it comes new teams for which that Bub's must cheer. As our players take to the ice, pool and court, there are new people to watch, new opponents to thwart. One such player has done more than the rest. Last weekend in LeFrak, he held a clinic for b-ball's best. In Amherst's first game, opening the tourney for Ken Wright, Adam Harper had five steals, none of them polite. He added six assists, dishing out the ball; NEC tried to recover, but they could only fall. The following day against WPI, Harper came ready to reach another high. He took the ball from their hands 11 times in the game, with another night like this, Harper will reach NESCAC fame. Add eight rebounds and 11 more points, nearly a triple-double, Harper was clearly above the rest and WPI was in trouble. He was named MVP, and that is rightly so; over the weekend for players and fans, he put on quite an impressive show. Nice job Adam, just keep shooting and stealing-a player with your talent gives Bub's a good feeling. With a new Amherst record for steals in the books, concentrate on winning more games and teaching your skills to the rooks.
