First-year pitcher Joe Vladeck put on a dominating performance against Hamilton College. In the second game of a doubleheader, Joe Vladeck took home the win as he allowed only four hits over five innings of work and also struck out five batters. Earlier in the day, Vladeck pitched three scoreless innings of relief in Amherst's victory in the first game of the doubleheader. In his two appearances on Saturday, Vladeck pitched a total of eight shutout innings.

Andrew Schneider

Junior track star Andrew Schneider secured first place in the 800-meter run in the 2003 Little III Track Championships held at Wesleyan University this past weekend. Completing the race in a time of 1:57.58, Schneider snatched a rare win, as well as seven points for the Jeffs. Watch for Schneider to continue his winning ways at the NESCAC Championship on Saturday at Williams College as the track team gears up for its toughest competition.
