The baseball team will battle Williams College Sunday at 1 p.m. at the College in the back end of a home-and-home series. The Jeffs have posted an impressive 13-6 record to this point, including a 5-1 league mark, which gives them sole possession of first place in the NESCAC West. Amherst recently pulled off a three-game sweep on the road against the Hamilton Continentals. The runs came early and often as the Jeffs outscored the Continentals 48-12 over the weekend. Williams College now stands at 16-6 overall, but only 5-3 in the league which puts them in third place in the NESCAC West. The Jeff offense has been powered by Josh Santry '05 and Fran Morales '04. The weekend could be a pivotal one, as a sweep would keep them atop the league. However, a sweep by Williams could take first place away.
