Sophomore golfer Litt lit up the way for the Jeffs last weekend at the Duke Nelson Invitational in Middlebury, Vt. Litt finished ninth overall and paced the Jeffs with a two-day score of 73-80-153. His performance was particularly timely for the young Amherst team that is full of potential but not necessarily consistency. Captain Justin Sharaf '05 and rookie Andy Bruns '06 were the second and third finishers for the Lord Jeffs.
Katie Hudson '07
Hudson may be new to the Amherst roster, but she seems to have had no problem making the jump to collegiate athletics. Hudson won both her singles matches last weekend, including a thrilling 4-6, 7-6 (7-5), 6-5 contest over her Skidmore College opponent. The rookie Hudson also partnered up with captain Wallis Molchen '04 to defeat doubles opponents from both Trinity College and Skidmore, helping Amherst start off the season undefeated.
