Women's cross country will make a rare home appearance this weekend as the team hosts the Little Three meet. Williams College, in particular, will provide a formidable challenge for the Jeffs as they look to better gauge their chances of making an unprecedented Nationals appearance at the end of the season. Amherst is led by Shauneen Garrahan '07, Carter Hamill '05 and Aly Venti '04. Garrahan and Venti have each won tournaments this year and Hamill is regaining her All-American form after being slowed by an injury earlier in the season. But the Jeffs' chances of upending their Little Three foes depend largely on how well Amherst's fourth and fifth runners place. Margaret Davis '06, co-captain Erinn White '04 and Ginger Polich '06 are likely the runners who will meet this challenge for Amherst.
