Bub's Player of the Week: Beau Kretzman '05
By Sarah Rothbard, Managing Sports Editor
While you were eating turkey and sitting on the couch,

the men's hockey team was proving that it's no slouch.

The Jeffs won two and tied one to start the season off right,

then came the McCabe Tournament where Amherst shone bright.

The team went undefeated and Beau Kretzman was their ace,

he won tournament MVP, and Amherst took first place.

He's scored seven times already and assisted twice as well,

one pass sparked the game-winner as the Trinity Bantams fell.

Another Kretzman goal tied up the semifinal game,

before the Jeffs scored again to bring them finals fame.

Kretzman won NESCAC Player of the Week, icing on his cake,

Bub's loves to see the league in fear, watch them as they quake.

He was all-NESCAC last year and this season promises more:

not only individual honors but a championship's in store.
