First-year swimmer Ethan Treat set an Amherst pool record in the 400-yard IM with a time of 4:07.11. In Sunday's meet versus visiting Hartwick College, Treat was instrumental in the Jeffs' 132-100 defeat of the Hawks. Treat has proven to be an integral part of the team this season, finishing first against Williams in the 200-yard butterfly with a stellar time of 1:54.58. The undefeated men's team takes on Springfield College this Saturday.

Stellar harrier Carter Hamill broke a school record last Friday at the Terrier Classic. The meet was hosted by Boston University, where All-American Hamill blazed through the 5,000-meter run with an amazing time of 16:32.45. Hamill finished seventh overall in a competitive field and her performance in the event earned her an automatic bid to the NCAA Championship meet. Hamill and the indoor track team will compete in the Tufts Invitational this coming Saturday.
