Netminder Grabowski completed the first shutout of her college career this weekend. In Saturday's game against SUNY- Cortland, Grabowski made 19 saves to help the Jeffs win, 3-0. The next night, Grabowski took to the net again, netting 20 additional saves, enabling the team to defeat SUNY-Cortland again, 3-1, and to tie the school record for wins at 10. Grabowski has tended net for the Jeffs in every single contest this season and has amassed an excellent .876 save percentage.
First-year squash player Hatfield had an undefeated weekend at the Amherst Invitational, winning all four of his individual matches as the Jeffs came up with four big victories on Feb. 7 and 8. Playing in the seventh spot, Hatfield won 12 games while losing only five on the weekend; two of his victories went to the maximum of five games. These wins came in close matches against Bates and Bowdoin Colleges. Hatfield and the rest of the Jeffs held on to win, 5-4 and 6-3, respectively.
