Game of the Week: Men's squash at Little Three Championship
By Jessica Rothschild, Sports Editor
The 11th-ranked Jeffs will hit the courts for the Little Three Championships at Williams College this Saturday morning. The 20th-ranked Wesleyan Cardinals should not pose much opposition to the Jeffs. More important, however, will be Amherst's match against ninth-ranked Williams. Arguably the team's most important match of the season, a win would enable the Jeffs to break into the top 10 in the nation. Last year, the Jeffs finished the season ranked 11th nationally and the team is anxious for improvement. The Ephs are currently 14-6 and will host the Little Three after coming off a loss to third-ranked Harvard University two weeks ago. A youthful Amherst line-up led by Michael Strong '05 and Auloke Mathur '07 in the one and two spots is fresh off four straight wins over top-20 teams. If the Jeffs can keep momentum going their way, they could really shake up the national rankings.
