Men's squash: Yale Bulldogs sweep Jeffs in 9-0 match
By Sarah Rothbard, Managing Sports Editor
The 11th-ranked men's squash team lost its final match of the regular season, 9-0, to third-ranked Yale University on Saturday. No Jeff managed to win a game off of his opponent as Amherst finished the regular season 9-7. Postseason play begins on Friday at the College Squash Association (CSA) Team Championships at Yale.

Amherst will compete in the Hoehn Division for teams ranked ninth through 16th in the country. Amherst faces 14th-ranked Franklin and Marshall College in the opening round; the Jeffs beat the Diplomats 6-3 on Feb. 8. If the Jeffs win, they will probably face the 10th-ranked Brown University Bears, a team that foiled Amherst early on, 7-2.

"We're really looking forward to the Brown match," said Gifford Sommerkamp '05. "We played them early in the season without a full team and we're expecting better results this time."

A victory over Brown could also give Amherst a rematch with ninth-ranked Williams College.
