Men's golf captain Justin Sharaf '05 won the Palamountain Invitational hosted by Skidmore College this past weekend for his first collegiate individual victory. Sharaf shot a 73-76-149, just one stroke ahead of the second-place finisher, on two separate courses to earn the individual medalist honors in a field of 89 golfers. Sharaf's stellar play helped Amherst to a seventh-place finish among the 18 teams that competed in upstate New York.

Sophomore Margaret Davis finished first in the 5000m run this past Saturday at the Little Three Championships, an impressive finish in a tough race. The win was her second first-place finish in as many weeks. The victory helped the Jeffs to a second-place showing at Little Threes behind host Williams College. The men's and women's track teams look forward to the Penn Relays on Thursday.
