Sean Jules '07

Jules tied for second in the NESCAC Championships over the weekend in Middlebury, Vt. Jules finished a mere stroke behind first-place finisher Nick Ryder of Williams College, who finished with a two-day score of 154. Jules' score of 76-79-155 placed him fifth in the Duke Nelson Invitational Golf Tournament, played concurrently with NESCACs. This fine finish was Jules' second straight strong showing at the NESCACs; he finished in third place in 2003.

Katherine Skrivan '06

Skrivan drove Amherst past Tufts University and Bates College this weekend. The junior forward excelled against Tufts on Saturday, assisting on sophomore Rachel Carr-Harris' goal and then scoring the game-winner in overtime. Skrivan scored the winning goal in dramatic fashion, using reverse stick with her back facing the goalie. Skrivan had a strong game against Bates as well, tallying an assist and peppering the Tufts goalie with a team-high seven shots. Skrivan is leading the Jeffs with 10 points and 22 shots on the season.
