"Our Saturday score was the best of the season, and it was the first time that all four of our scores were in the 80s," said Head Coach Jim Plumer. "But in general, we just couldn't put two good rounds together, which really has been the case all season."
Sophomore Sarah Harper did manage to put together a solid pair of rounds, with an 86-82-168 and an 11th-place individual finish. The 82 marked her best round of the season.
Finishing next for the team was co-captain senior Meg Sullivan, who placed 27th overall by duplicating her score of 88 for a two-day total of 176.
Seniors Emily Foran and co-captain Sarah Godwin finished with identical two-day totals of 177 and tied for 30th. Foran shot an 82-95-177, and Godwin shot an 86-91-177. Godwin's 86 was another season-best. First-year Ali Berman rounded out the team, finishing 49th with a 90-96-186.
Despite a fall season that was disappointing in many respects, the team did show improvement as evidenced by individual season-best scores in the final tournaments of the year. Coach Plumer is looking forward to the spring. "I still think we have the talent to do well so I am optimistic about our having a good spring," he said.
