With Honors: Leslie Curren '05 and Carter Hamill '05
By Scott Ganz, Sports Editor
Leslie Curren '05

Senior tri-captain Leslie Curren scored her first two goals of the season in shutout wins over Connecticut College on Wednesday and Wesleyan University on Sunday. Curren, well-known as a superb defensive midfielder, scored the first goal of the game in both wins, helping to keep the Jeffs undefeated in the NESCAC. Curren's first goal was a brilliant topspin strike that evaded the outstretched arms of Conn. goalie Kate Muller a mere 13 minutes into the match. Look for Curren to continue her offensive ways against Williams College this Saturday.

Carter Hamill '05

Senior captain Carter Hamill finished first in the Little Three Championships, leading Amherst to a second-place finish. The win was all the more impressive considering that Hamill missed the last meet, the New England Championships, due to injury. It was Hamill's third first-place finish of the season. The senior harrier has picked up right where she left off last season, when she earned All-America honors after a fourth-place finish in the NCAA Championship meet. Hamill should have another strong showing at the NESCAC Championships at Colby this weekend.
