• Fletcher Ladd '05E

Quad-captain Ladd ended his stellar career on Saturday with a touchdown on 34 carries for 179 yards, pushing Amherst past rival Williams College and securing the Little Three Title for the Jeffs. His efforts at tailback earned him the NESCAC Offensive Player of the Week award for the second time this year and the fourth time in his career. Ladd ended the season with a conference-best 1,137 rushing yards and 3,817 for his career, a school record. Ladd has been named All-NESCAC for each of the past three years, and his dynamic play will certainly be missed.

• Justin Macione '07

Macione, a sophomore, saved the day on Saturday with a stunning 39-yard grab in the end zone for the game-winning touchdown against Williams. The much-needed catch came off a battle against Eph defensive back Elliot Moffie for senior quarterback Marsh Moseley's deep throw early in the fourth quarter. The score and subsequent extra point put the Jeffs, who had been trailing, up 13-10 and was all the offense Amherst needed for the rest of the afternoon. This spectacular snag was Macione's longest catch and second touchdown of the season.
