Bub's Player of the Week: Paul Whiting '04
By Sarah Rothbard, Editor-in-Chief
Paul Whiting is a name Bub's didn't expect to see once more,

but he's received another honor that we just can't ignore.

He's been named the Woody Hayes Scholar Athlete of the Year,

proving on the national level that he's a Jeff without peer.

For the first-years unfamiliar with Whiting's many talents,

football, track and baseball were the three sports that he balanced.

As a defensive back he earned First-Team All-NESCAC accolades,

and in the winter, as a sprinter, Whiting didn't fade.

He also manned the outfield for four spring seasons,

but he's earned this award for some non-athletic reasons.

A neuroscience major and community service star,

Whiting's extracurricular activities were truly above par.

So Bub's salutes Paul one final time,

in the pages of The Student he's received his last rhyme.
