Rachel Simon plays defense but she scores like a forward,
which is why she's the skater to whom the hockey team looks toward.
Last week she was hot-four goals and three assists-
in four games over three days Simon refused to desist.
The highlight of it all was a hat trick against Trin,
the Bantams fell 4-0 and Amherst notched a NESCAC win.
Simon's 27 points lead the Jeffs this year,
ten goals and 17 assists-nothing at which to sneer!
She's second in the league in assists and in points she's number six,
Simon's play all season long has kept Amherst in the mix.
The Jeffs are fourth in the league with no conference games to go,
barring disaster they will enter the NESCAC postseason show.
If the Jeffs keep up their fine play they will certainly advance,
and with Simon leading the charge Bub's really likes their chance.
