Bub's Player of the Week: Dan Wheeler '07
By Sarah Rothbard, Editor-in-Chief
March Madness separates the men from the boys:

the players who choke from those who show poise.

In Amherst's first NCAA contest of 2005,

one Jeff showed the stuff to which all athletes strive.

Dan Wheeler came off the bench with the game on the line-

Amherst was up by just four, it was the soph's chance to shine.

He dropped 10 Jeff points straight, he just couldn't miss,

Wheeler helped Amherst give Springfield the goodbye kiss.

He made the most of every minute he had on the court,

Nineteen points in 19 minutes and not one shot fell short.

Wheeler's career high helped earn Amherst the win,

not to mention giving Jeff fans a reason to grin.

The postseason continues on Friday at home-

will the next Bub's you read be a national championship poem?
