Game of the Week: Women's Lacrosse v. Trinity College
By Laura Turner, Sports Editor
There are currently two undefeated NESCAC women's lacrosse teams; by tonight there will be only one team left standing with an unblemished record after the Jeffs (3-0) host the Trinity College Bantams (7-0). Both teams are tied for first in the NESCAC along with Middlebury College and Tufts University, who have lost one game each. Leading the Jeffs is All-America attacker Ashley Harmeling '05, who was named NESCAC Player of the Week on Monday. A large, young group of players, including junior Caitie Parker and sophomore Alyssa Briody, support Harmeling. Although Amherst hasn't lost a women's lacrosse game to Trinity in seven years, the Jeffs will face one of the toughest and most experienced Bantam lineups in a long time. All-America attacker Beatrice Gratry and midfielder Tracy Nesbit will lead the visitors.
