Senior co-captain Lee-Jay Henry logged the performance of the week, capturing first in the long jump and second in both the triple jump and the 100-meter hurdles. "Henry had a great day in the jumps and hurdles and seems to be over her knee problems of the past two years," said Head Coach Erick Nedeau. "She should be able to qualify for Nationals in either the jumps or the hurdles later on this season."
The other co-captain, senior Carter Hamill, earned the opportunity to defend her national championship with a winning time of 16:55.22 in the 5000-meter run although, according to Nedeau, Hamill was "using the [5000] as a work-out in preparation for a [10,000] in a few weeks." Hamill also placed second in the 1500-meter run.
Sophomore Shauneen Garrahan grabbed first place in the 800-meter run and earned a provisional qualification for Nationals with her first-place finish in the 3000-meter steeplechase. Senior Alison Rodriguez came in just behind Garrahan, placing second in the 3000. Finally, the 4x400-meter relay squad of Garrahan, Henry, Rucker and Sutherland captured second place.
