For the third week in a row, Amherst claims the NESCAC Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week. Briody earned the nod this week for netting nine goals and dishing out three assists in two NESCAC contests. She contributed a game- and career-high five goals and added two assists in a 15-8 blowout over Connecticut College on Thursday. On Saturday, Briody continued her scoring frenzy, notching four more scores and an assist against Wesleyan University. Briody's final tally proved to be the game-winner, as the Jeffs rolled over the Cardinals, 12-11, to remain undefeated and ranked third in the nation.
• David Litt '06
Litt brushed the rust off his swing and started off the men's golf team's spring slate with a bang, shooting an outstanding 74 to place second individually in the Lou Flumere Invitational. The junior's impressive afternoon led the Jeffs to a sixth-place finish among a 23-team field. If Litt can maintain his strong play for the rest of the season, the team may finally find the depth behind senior captain Justin Sharaf that it has lacked for several seasons. Litt's next opportunity to shine will be at the District One Shootout hosted by Williams College this weekend, followed by the much-anticipated Little Three Championships on April 27.
