Game of the Week: Football at Hamilton
Despite coming off a year in which the Jeffs finished second in the NESCAC with a 6-2 record, won the Little Three, and defeated Williams, Amherst enters this season with plenty to prove. That's because the Jeffs lost an eye-popping 18 seniors. Graduation took the school's all-time leading rusher Fletcher Ladd, three-year starting quarterback Marsh Moseley, All-NESCAC receiver Jay Wagstaff, seven starters on defense and place kicker David Bodner. With so little experience, no one knows what to expect from the Jeffs on either side of the ball. Nick Kehoe '07 will take over duties at quarterback and Will Beeson '07 and Ngai Otieno '06 will split carries in the backfield. The good news for the Jeffs is that they will open the year against perennial doormat Hamilton College. The tilt, which will take place on Saturday, will answer many questions as the Jeffs kick off their 2005 slate.
