GAME OF THE WEEK: Men's and Women's Golf at NESCACs
By Bill Nahill, Sports Editor
The men's and women's golf teams will compete in the first NESCAC championships of the year this weekend, with the men traveling to Williams College and the women going to Middlebury. Both Jeff squads are dealing with rebuilding seasons, as the men lost three-time all-NESCAC honoree Justin Sharaf, while the women graduated co-captains Meg Sullivan and Sarah Godwin, who together posted the low score for the team in four of last season's eight tournaments. For both squads the team to beat will be the Williams Ephs, whose men are ranked 10th and women 25th nationally amongst 'academics first' institutions. The men will need strong play from co-captain David Litt '06 as well as juniors Andrew Bruns and Sean Jules to contend, while the women will look to co-captain Sarah Harper '07 and Ali Berman '08 to post solid scores.
