GAME OF THE WEEK:
If all goes according to plan, the Jeffs should massacre the Wesleyan University Cardinals during this weekend's Homecoming game. Amherst holds a clear advantage heading into the contest with a 3-1 record, while Wesleyan has yet to secure a win this season. The Jeffs will rely on their outstanding defense, anchored by linebackers Greg Muecke '07 and Justin Roemer '06 and defensive linemen tri-captain L.J. Spinnato '06 and Brendan McKee '07. On the offensive end, the Jeffs' brutal attack-led by running backs Ngai Otieno '06 and Dom Cama '06, wide receiver Mark Hannon '07 and quarterback Nick Kehoe '07-has averaged 262.2 yards per game this year, good for first in the NESCAC. The Jeffs must avoid overconfidence this weekend, however, as the Cardinals do lead the conference in passing offense with an average 219.5 yards per game. Amherst will look to deliver a win in front of a large and enthused crowd.
