Saturday will be a big day for the men's soccer team as the Jeffs face off against NESCAC rival Middlebury College in the NESCAC Tournament semifinals at Williams College. The Jeffs have been in top form lately, giving undefeated number-one seed Williams a run for its money last Saturday and beating Bates College in double overtime in the opening round on Sunday. In the regular season, Amherst snatched a thrilling 2-1 win over Middlebury, the first taste of victory against the Panthers for the seniors on the team. If this year's record provides any indication, the Jeffs will be heading into the game Saturday looking for blood. Look for great things from rookie goalkeeper Jeff Grover and red-hot forwards Joe Gannon '06 and Mike Wohl '07. The winner earns a spot in the finals at Williams on Sunday against the winner of the Williams-Wesleyan University match.
