To the NESCAC semifinals the men's soccer team goes-

on Saturday the Jeffs and Panthers will come to blows.

The winner advances to the finals with the championship on the line,

it's time for the Jeffs to prove that under pressure they will shine.

They certainly did so this weekend in their quarterfinal match,

as a win against the Bates Bobcats the Amherst men did snatch.

Joe Gannon scored the winning goal on a penalty kick shot-

with just seconds to go the pressure was on to hit the spot.

Gannon came through, Amherst advanced, Bates did not move on,

four teams will keep contending-Tufts and Bowdoin are also gone.

These Jeffs are peaking at just the right time, Bub's feels sure,

just two more wins, a championship crown and a place in Amherst lore,

will be the reward for Gannon and co. if they can pull it off,

beat Midd., then next? The Purple Cows! (Cough, cough.)
