It's been a long journey to Ohio, but the women's cross country team and men's runner Tomas Morrissey '08 will finally be proving their mettle on the Ohio Wesleyan University trail next Saturday against top runners from all over the country. Though some runners weren't in their peak form at the Regional Championships last weekend, the women's top seven should return at full force this coming Saturday. Morrissey achieved another breakthrough at regionals, while junior All-American co-captain Shauneen Garrahan beat Williams College's regional champion Caroline Cretti at the New England Opens last month. It will take more than these two running sensations for a successful Amherst showing, however, and Garrahan will have the support of teammates Kim Partee '08 and Nicole Anderson '09-both of whom, like Garrahan, received NESCAC Rookie of the Year honors during their respective first-year campaigns.
