Bub's Player of the Week: Jack Kiley '09
By Lauren Benson, Managing Sports Editor

After a three-week injury it was Jack Kiley's first meet back,

Placed in the fastest heat, he was running with the pack.

But with 150 meters to go in the 1,000-meter race,

Kiley took off like a bullet, at an incredibly fast pace.

He passed all the leaders (among them, three were Ephs),

And crossed the finish line in first, snatching the win like a thief.

Yet Kiley's stellar performance was far from being done-

There was still the 4x800-meter relay title to be won.

Kiley and his Jeff teammates were simply dominant;

A full 12 seconds behind them trailed the nearest opponent.

At the Tartan Classic, Amherst's mid-distance crew led the way,

Kiley's wins were two of five Jeff victories on the day.

The Jeffs are peaking just in time for championship meets,

Of Kiley and Co., Bub's expects many more spectacular feats.
