In what marked the final regular season game for the senior Jeffs, Amherst came out firing against the visiting Tufts University Jumbos in last weekend's basketball matchup. With all the seniors in the starting lineup, regular starter and senior co-captain Bedford erupted for 29 points-going 9-13 from the field and 3-4 from behind the arc, while tallying three assists and two steals. The Jumbos seemed paralyzed as Bedford captained his team to an easy 99-70 victory. In his last regular season performance at LeFrak, Bedford solidified his place among the Jeff basketball legends as a truly special player, leader and teammate.

It was a sweet Valentine weekend for the sophomore track and field star. So far this season, Wilson has notched triumphs in a range of events outside her specialty-in particular, first-place finishes in the 800-meter and mile runs at the Wesleyan Invitational on Feb. 11. Boston University's Valentine Classic saw Wilson returning to one of her signature events with authority. She sped past harriers from all three divisions to nab 14th place in the 3,000-meter race, the highest Amherst finish of the day. In the upcoming championship meets, the Jeffs will be looking to Wilson for some significant contributions.
