GAME OF THE WEEK: NCAA Swimming and Diving National Championships
By Lauren Benson, Managing Sports Editor
This weekend a select group of Jeffs are headed for the University of Minnesota for the NCAA Div. III swimming and diving championship meet. The women will be led by sophomore Brittany Sasser. Sasser was unstoppable at the NESCAC Championships two weeks ago, earning individual victories in the 200-yard individual medley and the 100-yard backstroke and smashing the Div. III national record in the 200-yard backstroke. First-year Meaghan Stern also had an excellent meet, winning the 200- and 500-yard freestyle events. Senior co-captain Rick Estacio and junior Ethan Treat will represent the men's squad at the national meet. Estacio will look to add to his first-place showing in the 50-yard backstroke at the conference meet, while Treat will aim to repeat his NESCAC win in the 400-yard individual medley.
