With Honors: Kristen Raverta '06 and Mary Noonan '09
By Louise Stevenson, Sports Editor
• Kristen Raverta '06

Senior tri-captain Kristen Raverta greatly contributed to the total destruction of NESCAC foe Connecticut College last Saturday. The women's tennis team-currently ranked third in the nation-swept each match in straight sets against 23rd-ranked Conn. The closest matchup was between Raverta and her Camel opponent, Beret Remak at the number-one spot. Raverta prevailed 6-4, 6-4, defeating Ramak, who won the New England Women's Intercollegiate Tennis Tournament (NEWITT) last October, making her the top Div. III player last season. Raverta's victory avenges her loss to Remak in the NEWITT semifinals last fall.

• Mary Noonan '09

Rookie Mary Noonan is a force on the women's lacrosse team. She notched her seventh and eighth career goals in the 10-9 heartbreaking loss to Bowdoin College on Saturday, and has started every game this season. She has already turned in two hattrick performances-one against Eastern Connecticut State University and one against Union College in her first collegiate performance. With an impressive eight goal record in just four games, she is the second-highest scorer on the team. Noonan promises an outstanding rookie season and will have a significant impact for the Jeffs.
