Senior captain Sarah Harper opened this fall's golf slate with a bang. Although she is no stranger to succes in the NESCAC circuit, Harper posted some of her best rounds of her collegiate career, firing 78-76 for a two-day total of 154 on one of the most challenging courses in the northeast. Her performance in the always competitive Dartmouth Invitational indicates that Harper will not let up soon, and will certainly look to improve upon her recent success when the golf team travels to Mt. Holyoke College to play the Orchards Golf Club this weekend.
• Katie Coffey '08
Junior forward Katie Coffey led the way for the women's soccer team this past weekend, making a lasting impression on the visiting Bates College Bobcats. In a win that moved the Jeffs up the league standings while maintaining an undefeated mark, Coffey sparked the Amherst victory in more ways than one, tacking on a goal and a beautifully executed assist. After Saturday's contest, it seems certain that the Jeff faithful can expect many more exciting moments from Coffey, especially as the team moves forward in its quest for NESCAC glory.
