GAME OF THE WEEK: Field Hockey v. Bowdoin College
By Jennifer Ho, Sports Editor
The pressure is on for the field hockey team as it prepares to faceoff against Bowdoin College this weekend. The details in the stats prove that Amherst has dominated every team it's encountered this season. However, save one game, the team has yet to convert ability on the field into victories. A win seems to be in the Jeffs' near future, though-game-time lapses are getting shorter and their stick skills will serve them well on Bowdoin's turf field. Competition will be intense against the Polar Bears, who are the defending NESCAC Champions as they remained undefeated until the semifinals of the NCAA Tournament last year. However, Bowdoin's 1-0 loss to Williams College last week shows that Bowdoin is not invincible, and with the Jeffs hungry for a big win, Amherst might just be the team to send the Polar Bears into hibernation.
